Argentina was a pioneer in the field of broadcasting , making the first radio broadcast in history on 27 August 1920. From the roof of the Coliseum Theatre, Radio Society Argentina led by Enrique Susini Telemachus sent the opera Parsifal by Richard Wagner, beginning with the programming of one of the first broadcast stations in the world. Among the historical facts related to the radio in Argentina, may be mentioned the transfer of the boxing match between Jack Dempsey and Luis Angel Firpo in 1923, the first broadcast of a football match (between Argentina and Uruguay) in 1924, and the radio drama in the 1930 and 1940. Other important events can be highlighted.
